Purpose of the NCSC (Australia)
The National Cocker Spaniel Council Constitution describes in detail a number of objects of the National Cocker Spaniel Council (Australia).
Key objects include:
- To encourage and promote in every way the quality of breeding, care, training and exhibition of the Cocker Spaniel.
- To educate and encourage Exhibitors, Breeders and Judges to abide by the Standard for the Cocker Spaniel, as approved by the Australian National Kennel Council.
- To enable Member Clubs to take co-operative action on matters which such Clubs agree and of common interest and for their mutual benefit in the promotion of the Cocker Spaniel.
- To allocate the titles of “Cocker Spaniel National Speciality Championship Show" and “Cocker Spaniel Speciality Championship Show. For use by Member Clubs, subject always to the approval of both the State or Territory Controlling Body and the Australian National Kennel Council.
Over the years the NCSC (Australia) has made a number of decisions on procedures approved by member clubs to meet these objects.
